What can I say, I'm a geek. I'm a Computer Science and Mathematics major at BSU. I love the simpler things in life, a good book, a relaxing song, catching a movie, listening to the rain fall. "The true measure of a man is how he treats someone who can do him absolutely no good."
- Samuel Johnson

"We can't run from who we are. Our destiny chooses us."
- Professor Petrovsky, Rounders

I've found a new Hero

And his name is Tucker Max!  Ok, so honestly the guy probably needs to get his ass kicked by a horde of angry women but none-the-less his stories make for a really humorous read.

I havn't laughed this hard in a long time and the stories are long enough to provide entertainment for like another month!

The Internet is for pron!

It's been a while since I last posted anything, honestly no one probably reads this drivel anyway but I came across an awesome video clip on the internet today.  Ok, more technically my roomate Grant found it and after watching it on his computer I had to get it myself.  Anyway, although for those that do read this, most of you probably will have no clue what World of Warcraft is so I'll give you a short lead in on it.  World of Warcraft is a computer game that you play online, you control 1 character in the universe of the game, set on a fantasy world.  Different Player Character races include Human, Undead, Troll, Dwarf, Gnome, Elf, Orc and Tauren (think of a cross between a man and a cow and you have tauren).  Anyway, some people got together and did a video capture of their characters and then added music and voice over / singing and well....you just have to watch it.

apparently I can't post the word pron with the correct spelling (swap the r and the o around if you don't know what pron is)

There isn't any nudity or anything, it's work safe etc.

New Convention in Internet Chatting!!!

Today is a great day for the world of Computing and Internet Chatting, IM'ing if you will.  Today I unveil to the world the newest (and greatest) innovation that the world has seen to this day!!! I kid you not.  After like a week of testing, and running my idea's past some of the greatest minds in the world (Thanks Joel, Andrea, and Dan for all the input!) I have perfected the theory behind "post signing."

Now at this point I'm sure your all asking yourselves, what ever could this nutjob be talking about and so, without further adou, my innovation:

As anyone who has ever used an IM program will probably agree, typing cash values can be a PITA(pain in the ass for the non computer geeks), so I propose a new convention in the field of IM'ing.  I am tenatively calling it "post signing" and it follows as such.  When your typing out a value your thinking in your head, Two-Hundred dollars and so as your typing the first thing to mind is of course "Two-Hundred" so you start typing 200...well now shit, you get to the "dollars" part and you have to go back to change 200 to $200, I say NAY SIR, don't, from here on out, you can simply type 200$ and it means $200.  Even in reading it back you see the dollar sign out front but you still read it in your head "Two-Hundred dollars."  When we are little kids learning English we learn that you read from left to right and thus it isn't even logical to go backwords to read the $ after the fact.

So, for those of you lucky enough to be gazing upon this page, here and now, you are to become part of a revolutionary concept that will change the way the world works from here on out!!!!

VIVA LA REVOLUTION!!!!

Love in nature

So...you know you live a drab life when insects having sex is the highlight of your day.  With that said, everyone should check out my newly added photos!!!  It's some hott hott stuff freshly uploaded from my Canon A75 digital camera!!!

I'm watching a show on PBS right now about Leonardo DaVinci and let me just say that the man is a friggin genius.  He made observations about the way blood flows in the heart that modern science only proved 18 years ago or some shit, it's crazy.  Also, his flying machine, basically a glider with a different design matched the wright brothers record flight and then proceeded to blow them away, well the one they made for the PBS show did.  They did make a slight modification of tether cords to control roll and keep the lady flying it from killing her self but still, pretty impressive.

Ok, well I have to revise a paper for tomorrow and prepare for an ethics discussion so time to do some homework.

First Entry

Well, I'm bored and putting off writing a program for one of my classes so I decided to set up a profile on msn spaces.  This is my first official blog entry and very likely my last with my love for keeping a blog.  I'll probably forget I even made it in a couple days so enjoy while you can!

I'd like to say, for anyone that happens to actually read this, if you havn't seen Rounders, check it out, it's a great movie, I think it's officially my new favorite movie of all time.
